Activity Insight by Digital Measures by Watermark is our faculty activities system. This system enables individual faculty members and the University as a whole to promote and report accomplishments and activities. We have launched this new tool initially for use by tenured/tenure-track faculty members. The next phase will expand the use of the platform to all faculty members.

Upcoming Training Sessions

The UMD Activity Insight team will be offering training sessions in the Fall term for faculty as they prepare for the annual activity reporting. In the training, you will learn about using the platform, data integrations, tracking your activities, time-saving tips, and goals and expectations for entering your data.

Publication Import to Activity Insight Workshop

Publication import workshop was conducted in Fall semester by the Libraries designed for faculty and staff members who need to track scholarly output in Activity Insight with a particular focus on ensuring publications from all platforms are recorded. The session covered process of consolidating research publications and then importing those publications into Activity Insight. If you missed the workshop, please see the recording: Part 1, Part 2.

Activity Insight Proxy and/or Delegate Access Permission Form

Faculty members can assign to other individuals the right to act as one-to-one proxy in Activity Insight. An individual assigned by a faculty member as one-to-one faculty proxy will have access to the faculty member's Activity Insight data, will be able to manage that data, and be able to run reports for that faculty member.

Chairs, directors and deans can assign to other individuals the right to act as their delegate in Activity Insight. An individual assigned by a chair, director or dean as a delegate will have read-only access to the faculty data across the unit and will be able to run reports with that data.

This form enables a user to grant proxy access to a UMD employee to enter information and/or run reports on the faculty member's behalf. The form also enables a user to grant delegate access to a unit's data in a read-only capacity. One or both of these access options can be selected using the form, as appropriate.
